 Providing Space for More Lives

At Greenleaf Development Initiative, we’re raising funds and promoting initiatives to help those who need it most. With an array of fundraising events and volunteer projects, we welcome you to join our endeavors aimed at making the world a better place.

WHAT WE FIGHT FOR

Making the World a Better Place

Since our foundation in 2020, Greenleaf Development Initiative has been working day and night to achieve our main mission: to help alleviate the hardships faced by the people who need it the most. We get closer to this goal through our integrated efforts at our Charity. Want to find out how to get involved?

Charitable Giving

As a trusted charitable organization. We empower orphans and vulnerable children/families by providing them with skills that are necessary to negotiate support, develop self-reliance, and to grow physically, spiritually, academically, and financially. Many families within Kisumu-Kenya are child headed due to loss of parents either through HIV/AIDS or other related diseases/ailments which is the most deadly undeclared war in the country.
Nor words nor statistics can adequately capture human tragedy to children grieving for the dying/dead parents stigmatized by society through association with HIV/AIDS plunged into economic crisis and insecurity by their parent's death and struggling services or support systems in impoverished communities. Therefore, this foundation, has been initiated to help alleviate suffering of vulnerable families and Orphans.

WHAT WE DO

Breaking Barriers, Opening Doors

FIGHTING POVERTY

One of our goals is to ensure that the most vulnerable and at-risk groups in the greater Nyanza area are safe and have their basic needs taken care of. With your generous donations and volunteering efforts, you have the capacity to help us in our endeavour of Fighting Poverty.

These challenges are interconnected and often exacerbated by societal norms and cultural practices. To address these issues, it is crucial to promote gender equality, empower women, and create supportive environments that enable them to reach their full potential.

Empowering the boy child is crucial as well for creating a more equitable and just society. Here are some strategies to empower the boy child:

*Education:* * *Quality Education:* Ensure access to quality education, including early childhood development programs.

* *Life Skills:* Teach essential life skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making.

* *Mentorship:* Provide male role models who can guide and support boys.

*Health and Well-being:* * *Physical Health:* Promote healthy lifestyles, including regular exercise and balanced diets.

* *Mental Health:* Address mental health issues and provide counseling services.

* *Sexual Health:* Educate boys about sexual health, consent, and responsible relationships.

*Positive Masculinity:* * *Challenge Gender Stereotypes:* Promote positive masculinity that values empathy, respect, and non-violence.

* *Emotional Intelligence:* Encourage boys to express their emotions healthily.

* *Conflict Resolution:* Teach peaceful conflict resolution skills. *Community Involvement:* * *Volunteer Opportunities:* Encourage boys to participate in community service.

* *Youth Groups:* Create safe spaces for boys to connect with peers and mentors.

* *Sports and Recreation:* Promote sports and recreational activities to foster teamwork and leadership.

By implementing these strategies, we can empower the boy child to become responsible, compassionate, and successful individuals who contribute positively to their communities.
